First BSU Encounter Large Group!

We had our first large group meeting Wed. night in a room we rented off campus. We brought snacks, and helped put together a night of worship, testimonies, games, and a message by Cris, the campus minister. We were overjoyed to have over 40 for our first meeting, and we have their phone numbers so we can keep in contact (text messaging is a very big deal here:)

With God's help, we will continue meeting in the same place on Wed. nights while we are here. The university gets first selection of the 2 rooms we could meet in though, so please pray we will be continue to be able to meet in a room each week.

I got to teach for the first time here in a college class Friday afternoon, and again this morning. Teaching college here is somewhat different, as the students are younger (American high school age). I greatly enjoyed the experience, and am overjoyed to be able to teach about Christianity and be able to promote our events!

We continue to get closer to having our proposal with the university approved. Please continue to pray for the relationship we are building with the university through this.

3 of us are leaving for Dagupan on Monday to help with a campus ministry there. I am one of them, and will be closer to the beach, but further from the Typhoon that might be hitting here. I am excited for the change and getting the team set to be without me and our lead cook:)
